PUBLISHED 12/20/2007

Ingredients:
4 cups raw wheat flakes
4 cups raw steel-cut oats
1 cup raw oat bran
2 cups dried raisins
1.5 cups slivered almonds
1.5 cups dried blueberries
1.5 cups dried cranberries
1 cup chopped dates
1 tablespoon cinnamon
3 cups honey
1/2 cup canola oil
1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1) Toss the dry ingredients above into a large bowl and mix.
2) In a medium saucepan, blend the wet ingredients. Stir, on medium heat for about 10 minutes, until blended.
3) Pour liquid mix over dry mix. Grease hands with canola oil, and use hands to completely cover the dry ingredients with the liquid.
4) Pat mixture into either cookie sheets that are rimmed or cake pans, no more than two inches thick. Bake at 300?F for 40 minutes. Once baked, remove from oven and toss until cooled. Place in plastic containers for storage.
