RAISE MONEY FOR AMY JENSEN

After losing her leg to cancer, Jensen hopes to run again with a prosthetic leg. Find out how you can help her meet her goal.

After running cross-country as a high school freshman, 17-year-old Amy Jensen, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, an aggressive form of bone cancer. In July, her left leg was amputated above the knee. She is now finished with chemo and wants to return for her senior season. Her prosthetic, however, isn't meant for running, and insurance won't cover the cost of one that is. So the town and her teammates are trying to raise the necessary $30,000. "My cross-country team is my family," Jensen says. "I'm determined to run with them one more time."
