High Cloud Foundation
High Cloud Foundation's mission is to help alleviate world poverty for children and displaced mothers who are victims of violence throughout the world. One of the primary ways the foundation raises funds is through its running club. Members of the High Cloud Running Team collect pledges as they train for 5-Ks, 10-Ks, half-marathons, marathons, and triathlons. To join the team or find out more about the organization, visit www.highcloud.org.

Made of Mettle
Steven Isenberg, M.D., a head and neck surgeon in Indianapolis, founded Medals4Mettle, a nonprofit organization that collects finishers' medals and donates them to people battling illnesses. If you are interested in donating medals or would like to make a monetary donation to the organization, visit medals4mettle.org.

Foot Soldiers
In 2008, father and son Tom and Warren Knoll ran across the United States, covering 3,300 miles in 112 days. In doing so, they raised more than $100,000 for the Challenged Athletes Foundation, the Wounded Warrior Project, and the Sunshine Foundation. For more information about these charities or to donate, please visit www.usathleticevents.org/Default.aspx
