The 4th Annual Teri Tough 4 Mile Run/Walk honors the memory of Teri Mathis Zenner. She was a graduate of Olathe South, Missouri Southern, and was about to receive her master's degree in social welfare from Kansas University when she was tragically killed while visiting a client in her job as a Johnson County Mental Health social worker. Participants in this event will enjoy the scenic 4 mile course surrounding the lake at Heritage Park. Over 2 miles of the course is viewable from the start/finish line. Post race Chris Cakes pancake breakfast will be provided for participants. Proceeds from the event support the Teri Mathis Zenner Foundation for the Advancement of Social Welfare. The event has funded scholarships for graduate study in social welfare at the University of Kansas, and for undergraduate study in a helping profession at Missouri Southern University.
