We say: The latest Response retains the same fit, feel, and value runners have enjoyed for years in previous models. Adidas updated the XII's heel with deep grooves in the outsole and midsole that help isolate and disperse impact forces. RW Shoe Lab tests confirmed that the new Response is softer. The midsole features a plastic support bridge for added stability, plus the shoe has deeper outsole lugs to improve traction in loose soil or on sandy trails. Recommended for runners with normal arches looking for a neutral-cushioned shoe with decent stability that will do well on both roads and tamer groomed trails.
