We say: This new trail shoe from Saucony features an outsole with great traction and a forefoot plate for added protection against sharp objects. The outsole's rounded edges keep more of the shoe in contact with the ground for better traction around tight turns. Saucony added a soft plug of foam in the heel for enhanced cushioning. The upper features bands that run over the arch and work with a bootie to provide a more snug fit. This helps keep out trail debris. Recommended for medium-size runners with normal to low arches who run on a variety of trail surfaces.
Wear-tester says: "I liked the soft feel of the upper, it gave the shoe an exceptional fit."--Warren Krueger, 23, East Lansing

I have done some intense trail running in the shoe in the appalachian mountains. The tread is great for fast down hill spurts. Even around tight turns I felt in control. The plate in the front of the shoe was great for avoiding bruises from rocks, roots or other debris that you find off road. Very snug fit, all around a great shoe..
