We say: This smart update of the 766 is built on a slightly wider platform, and New Balance firmed up the shoe's midsole stability. Both changes help control pronation and improve heel-to-toe transition. The upper boasts a bit more room in the forefoot and a softer collar that holds the heel firmly in place. The N-lock arch wrap system has also been added--connecting the laces to the midsole--for a better midfoot wrap. Recommended for runners with low to normal arches looking for an everyday trainer.
Wear-testers say: "The stay-tied lacing system allowed me to customize the fit of the shoe."--Steve Lathrop, 31, San Diego
"A comfortable shoe that was nice and snug, especially in the heel."--Brian Jones, 40, East Lansing

Catch these shoes before they disappear. Totally fantastic shoe and fit, especially for those of us with wide feet. Ran 2 marathons plus plus on these. Lacing system can be adjusted in different ways it is worth lacing in different ways until you maximize the snugness..
