Runner's World Awards: Best Update

We Say: This update features a supportive, semirigid sockliner that comfortably cradles the foot. Built on a new last that's wider in the forefoot, the Vomero also accommodates more foot types. Nike improved the shoe's cushioning and durability by using outsole rubber that's 50 percent thicker than the previous version and a larger air-filled cushioning unit in the heel that takes up more than half of the midsole. Our lab tests found the Vomero to be the softest in this guide; thus, we recommend it for runners with good biomechanics or high arches looking for a soft, plush ride.

Excelent shoes, great cushioning and the plus of the Nike-ipod. May be just a little bit expensive..

Cushioning is great; actually, never had it better. Got ripped off by "Running Room" in Toronto - paid $205. IPOD sensor is great option - wish it worked with all IPOD models. .

I recently bought this shoe and my first time out with it everything was fine. The next day I started to notice the IPOD sensor in the left foot. I could tell something was there. At first it was no big deal. The next day it really bothered me, I didnt enjoy my run and got very annoyed with this sensor space. I didnt even have the IPOD sensor in the shoe, I never bothered to buy one. Anyway I took the shoes back and bought a different pair. It felt like a very very small pebble in your shoe and it really got to me. My advice dont buy Nike shoes with IPOD sensors..

An improvement in fit over the previous model without sacrificing the excellent cushioning. The Nike+ is a bonus too. An all-round cushioning shoe for the neutral runner..
