Runner's World Shoe Lab Test Results

We Say: The biggest change to the Pegasus is the replacement of the full-length air unit with two independent air pads designed to accommodate the Nike Plus+ iPod system. Surprisingly, none of our 16 Pegasus wear-testers noticed the difference. The outsole under the heel has deeper grooves, which help isolate and disperse impact forces. (RW Shoe Lab tests confirmed the improved cushioning.) We recommend the Pegasus for men with high arches and average body weight looking for a solid shoe at a great price.

Wear Tester Reviews

Wear-testers Say: "The fit was great; the upper wraps just right, not too tight."--David Graf, 41, East Lansing

"A great training shoe that held up well."--Budd Coates, 50, Allentown

I am a 190lb runner with high arches. These were great shoes. Excellent fit for narrow feet. I logged 450 miles with no problems. Great value at 80 dollars.

This is my second pair of Bowerman series runners and I am satisfied thus far. I am a 200lb runner and I found the support adequate for my body type. These are a great buy if you are looking for a durable, stable trainer. .

As stated before, enjoyed the previous models of the pegasus, but the addition of the ipod insert caused some real problems for my foot...namely numbness and pain. Wish that they had made a version that was a pegasus - Other than the numbness and pain the shoe feels great.

Like all Pegasus before, this 2007 version was good. Excellent cushioning for all training. I even ran in the trail and recorded a good time. Have recommended to a few friends and they all said it was good..
