We Say: It's rare to see a shoe in this category lose any weight, but the Tangent did--it's nearly an ounce lighter. It's also $5 lighter on the wallet. The weight drop is largely due to the new upper. The mesh weave on the inside of the shoe is tighter than on the outside, which provides support without the added weight of overlays. Our lab tests found the Tangent to be softer and just as flexible as its predecessor. Recommended for runners who do a lot of up-tempo training and racing.

Running the 112th Boston Marathon in these shoes was a treat to my feet. Cushioning and stability were superb. My feet stayed cool, dry and comfortable the entire race. Definitely a repeat performer. The Tangent 2 is great, the Tangent 3 is fantastic..

I bought this shoe based on its great initial feel, but soon found it to be far below my expectations. The transition bridge in the arch of the shoe literally split open in 10+ places within 150-250 miles of use. I weigh 120 pounds, making this rediculous. Also, the heel to to transition is uncomfortable, as is the rest of the shoe. Since switching to these shoes I have had nothing but problems, which have culminated in a bad case of patellar tendonitis/patellafemoral pain..
