We moved it into the stability category because it's the softest shoe in the guide and it might not provide bigger runners the support they need. Using lighter-weight foam, Nike built this version lower to the ground. Despite the low profile, it still has a supportive midsole post to help control overpronation. Also new in this update is a segmented heel designed to disperse impact forces. Recommended for lighter runners looking for a supportive shoe. "Fantastic. I previously got terrible shin splints, and after using this shoe I never experience them anymore -- and I just finished training for a half-marathon.
