This new shoe's overlay design connects the laces to a nylon band that runs along the perimeter of the midsole. This band gives the base of the shoe added protection from sharp rocks and debris and works with the overlays to snugly wrap the upper around the foot. Underneath the heel, the Rucky uses reinforced plastic shaped like an X to provide top-notch stability that isn't likely to push the ankle outward on uneven surfaces. Recommended for runners who run long off-road and are willing to carry a little extra weight underfoot.
"Excellent traction. I was running up steep hills on snow and ice and didn't have to slow down."--Jeff Kolzow, 21, East Lansing
"If The North Face could increase the arch support and add forefoot cushion the shoe would be great." John Severin, East Lansing
