Runner's World Awards: Best Buy
The 710 series from New Balance remains one of the best in running. For several years, the shoes have provided great stability and cushioning for a very reasonable price. New Balance updates the shoe every year, and we annually award it with our Best Buy designation. Such is the case again this year. The shoe continues to feature all of New Balance's important stability and cushioning technologies, such as its stability web, diagonal rollbar, and full Abzorb cushioning. And despite just a few small cosmetic updates, the 716 remains an attention-getter because of its unparalleled value. Our take: This shoe makes a strong argument that you don't have to pay more than $75 to get a great shoe.
Bottom line: There's nothing more reliable than death, taxes--and the New Balance 710 series. There isn't a shoe on the market that offers more technical bang for the buck than the 716.

This shoe has superb value. The cushioning is terrific, as well as the stability. You need a thick, and good quality sock if you want optimal performance with this shoe. You can invest in a better insole, for more comfort..

The New Balance 716s seemed like a great buy...until they began to rip the toenail off of one of my toes! The shoes worked well for about 2 months before I noticed that there was a blister beneath my toenail. If you are a runner looking for a high-performance and long-lasting shoe, look somewhere else!.

This shoe is ok. I have had problems with my left foot falling asleep while running for the first 12 runs or so. Also, My arch aches sometimes when running in them. On a positive note, I could instantly feel a difference in how cushiony they felt compared to my previous sneaker, which was Nike..
